Plasencia is three hours by train from Madrid. We are met at the station by Ricardo who helps us settle into the large, comfortable and very reasoanable apartmento Valle de Jerte. (www.airbnb.co.uk)
Later, we head off for dinner at Tentempié.
This cosy, modern bar with good music, no screens and seating on stools or sofas offers us a warm welcome in the form of Jose. I donate him a copy of Ullage. (@UllageBeer)
The tapas are excellent; we try beetroot soup and potatas fritas among other yummie things!
We
have the opportunity to try Tentempie's own beer. This is made by the local brewery Cerveza Blomberg and is a delicious Belgian brown ale.
